hmm... if I am not wrong they probably did it this way: Leo has to act Philippe first and then on another he has to play Louis (in the same set) and they'll just edit, cut, copy, paste, etc. and make it appear as though they were standing on one place and facing each other... such magic of technology.

But someone do correct me if I am wrong...

They film Di Caprio acting as Philippe then they film him acting as Louis. And if they touch each other in the movie that is just the computer making them look like they touch.
