Lewis had a tougher time getting to the Olympics than he had in the tournament.

Great moment in US/Olympic wrestling history. This young man is a credit to his sport. He shows a humorous humility at the end when he asks if that is the end of the interview- "Oh, is there anymore?" Thanks for sharing this.

Love how he refers to his opponent as "that Jap". Hilarious.

I've met Randy and he is exactly just that - a down to Earth guy. If he was 4 years younger I bet the '88 Olympic trials vs. John Smith one have been twice as exciting and... well I'll stop there not to offend anyone.

Good to see Randy Lewis was wearing Stevens colors at the Olympics. Stevens *dum dum dum* Raiders!

I don't understand. Are you referring to MY "colors? Or some other "Steven"? I am not a Raiders fan (Packers and Eagles), and I went to Wisconsin (Red) and Randy was wearing a plain blue singlet in this video. Sorry, just didn;t understand the comment, but thanks for commenting none-the-less :)

I'm talking about Stevens High School. Our colors were blue and silver. Randy Lewis also attended Stevens.

Got it! Thanks. Sorry for my ignorance. Never had the chance to meet Randy. Barry Davis was my coach in my final years at UW and was teammates with Randy, so I heard lots of stories about him. According to Davis, he was a pretty crazy character, but also just a normal, down to Earth type of guy.
