This baby sloth's mom was eaten by a hawk and was left as an orphan. A peruvian family saved him and put him in a planter to nest and grow.

Yeah, they start this way, all cute, and then when you least expect it... They rip your eyes out and have them for dinner! :)

@TheCheeringPumas It is because they are essentially herbivores. They have a very strict vegetarian diet and have little energy because of it. So they move slow to conserve that energy. One of my other favorite animals is the slow loris. haha they are even worse but adorable. I love sloths because they are such a peaceful creature. They just want to chill and live man. gotta love it.
