Ask the Adobe ones Episode 24 : Its Soule Time! Karl Soule was spotted in a hotel room far away. Kush corners him with a couple of tricky video related questions and faces more curveballs on his own.

Transcription: (Kush only)

Hi this is Kush with Ask the Adobe ones. Now that both halloween and the US election madness is coming to an end I thought it would be the perfect time to make another Karl Soule special. Well, he has nothing to do with either but I did get a couple of video related questions. Problem is he is hard to catch. He was recently in the middle east and now I heard he is actually in India. It's his first time there and he was pretty shocked when he wondered around the streets to be surrounded by a large group of street children begging him to tell more about the metadata workflow in on-location CS4 for mac.

True story except for the metadata part but seriously, he's a very nice guy so if you do bump on to him in the streets of India, just talk to him no need to be intimidated by his large hawaiian shirt.

Ok, here he is, Hi Karl

Yes, our first question is from Andrew:

What happened to Ultra? why is there no mention of it in CS4?

Ok, next Twann asks about converting Premiere Pro projects from PC to Mac:

Actually I had a similar problem converting a windows CS3 premiere pro project paths to a mac so I write myself this simple utility for my own use, I'll post it on this link if any of you are interested.

Then we have a question just for you Karl,

What's going on with your trance music? any new tunes for us to hear?

ok,. from trance music to blue grass. I still think he hangs out in Amsterdam a little too much. What's that, oh blue grass is a kind of country music? oh ok now I know.

Alright, thank you very much Karl for taking the time to join us from all the way in India and regardless where you are, you too can ask anything from Karl, me, or who ever is qualified to come up with anything related to Adobe products, just post a video online and send us the link or write us an email to ask@adobe.com so even you can ask the Adobe ones!

wait, first a quick shout out to Jaker Joel from Honduras who said "you are the Adobe Lord! please say hi to me" Ok.. Hi Jaker actually I'm not the Adobe lord, the real Adobe lord would be them. No not him, he's just my other inspiration, them, our founding fathers of course.

Ok, instead of the spam of the week, this time I have the accusation of the month!

RT wrote: Is Kush covertly supporting governor Palin by wearing stylish eye-wear? Well RT, the simple answer is I've been wearing glasses for a long time because I can't see very well. Maybe the real question is if governor Palin is covertly imitating Kush ;)

  • Thanks so much for sharing this! You are really funny!!

  • Thank you Kush. Do you know if there is anywhere I can buy, either CS3 with ULTRA in it or ULTRA? Thanks again. G-II

  • Kush, Just a quick few questions. I currently have a copy of Adobe Visual Communicator 3. I think I need ULTA to take advantage of the virtual sets that are sold by Adobe and/or SeriousMagic or am I incorrect. If I do need ULTRA, where can I get a 'stand alone copy' of ULTRA? Also, does ULTRA have a built in teleprompter or is the application strictly for editing vector keyed productions? Your response is greatly appreciated. • First thought was "k, just another promo channel". It is somehow, but meanwhile I think it's much more.

Awesome thing is: In contrast to the trillion webforums here you get the direct, undiluted information from "The Adobees" ;-). You get HQ-answeres so to speak ;-) Above all, presented in an entertaining format. This is pretty cool.

I wonder why this channel has not been pushed more by Adobe yet.

    Keep it up! Subscribed!

    Masa :o)

  • Suggestions for an awesome channel anyway:

    * How about a touch more background information in debth?!

    * Allocate more time to questions?! It's called "Ask Adobe...", not "Chat with Adobe" :-)

    * Make a Playlist, this way we can lean back an watch a serie of episodes.

  • well how about the virtual sets Ultra has?... gone?...
