Mae sowks vs single stick

A 1 minute full contact fight, Dog Brothers style, between the Thai fore-arm shields known as mae sowks and single stick. Mae sowks is taught within the Thai martial art system known as Krabi Krabong. This fight was recorded at the DBMA camp in Toronto in 2009. It was followed a short time later by a mae sowks versus knife fight (available in another video) between Top Dog and Tricky Dog.

Top Dog can be seen and heard watching in the background. Tricky Dog was fighting with mae sowks.

This was one of the first times mae sowks was ever used at a Dog Brothers event - although Salty Dog, who pioneered use of Krabi Krabong in Dog Brothers in the 90s, was always keen to fight someone with mae sowks, no one ever took him up on it. The mae sowks are a very scary weapon. And Salty is a very formidable fighter. Anyone who steps up to fight the mae sowks has some serious guts.
