Rage and Serenity (Eric & Charles)

*CAVEAT: This video contains spoilers for X-MEN: FIRST CLASS. If you have not yet seen this movie and do not wish to be spoiled, then please do not watch this video.*

So *deep breath* X-MEN: FIRST CLASS is the best X-men movie I have ever seen in my life. It also has the distinction, with THOR, of being my favorite adaptation of any of Marvel's heroes. Yes, I was very impressed with this movie. Now, unlike many fans, I didn't go into this movie with particularly low expectations due to the disaster that was X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE mainly because I was highly encouraged by the cast and the direction the story appeared to be taking. But, enough about that.

There are so many reasons as to why this movie really is quite spectacular; but one of the most obvious (and my favorite) elements was the dynamic and nature of the relationship between EriK Lehnsherr (Magneto) and Charles Xavier (Professor X). These two had a very interesting friendship which I think this film showed particularly well.

The last moment those two shared before parting ways, thus taking their places on opposite sides of the board, was so well done thanks to the talents of Fassbender and McAvoy and had my very moved. It was pretty freaking powerful.

So, yes, this is a BIG X-Men movie that really feels big, definitely invests you in its characters, and has two male leads that are absolutely phenomenal--particularly, for me, Fassbender. I recommend going out to see this movie! :)
