Jak and Daxter - Destiny

One of the things I love most about this series is the demolition duo's incredible dynamic. They piss each other off, fool around like typical teenagers, and yet when it comes down to it, I don't think they'd make it alone. And there are all these incredible moments when they seem to realize that too. I really wanted to capture that leap up and pump your fist in the air joy that I think the game was supposed to inspire on some level.

The title comes from the chorus of this song (points down).

First and foremost, I had a lot of fun working on this. It took a little over a week from capture to final edit. This was a bit of a departure from my style of work in simply trying to capture a mood rather than a straight up narrative piece. The song is also not something I would normally select to work with either (more into rap than not). If you want to interpret their relationship as a romantic one, you're welcome to. I did not think of it in those terms when I created this. Comments are adored.

Killer AMV! You're right, Jak and Daxter really are like that, but when it comes down to it they're the best friends anyone could ever ask for. Absolutely wonderful, you captured them perfectly.

While most people see Dax as the annoying sidekick this vid shows what he really is- the adorable furball that is Jak's one and only sun day in and day out! :D

I've loved this video since I first saw it several years ago, and I come back to watch it again whenever I get a little nostalgic. It's also perfect at really giving you a good feel for the characters' dynamic, so this is where I always point people when I want to tell them how amazing this series is. I'm so glad the Jak series is being released on BluRay so the newer generation has a chance to meet these guys. =)

I just love the scene where Jak tells Dax he's proud of him and Dax says they both did it cause they're a team. It shows how deep their friendship is, seeing Jak completely ignores Keira, the girl he loves, but gives full attention to his best bud. Bros before hoes is very well pictured here.

Lovely vid, it shows what these two have; a deep friendship and brotherly love. I believe they would do anything for eachother :D

I'm guessing at the end of Jak 3 when Jak got on the ship but then popped back up that he went with them and used a Time Portal to go back in time so he could do both.
