what the philippines government's doing today is they're studying the need of aircraft carrier and submarine... and yes a 217 billion pesos are already on the negotiating table and it's a 100 yr to pay to the US. they're planning to get the USS george h.w. bush but it's a 20 yr planning it might not going to happen but the submarine yes it will before 20yrs frm now. but good news USA might give us 12 F-16 and 2 battle ships this year and last year they gave us $15 million in military assistance.

i think it's about time to have this modern navy stuff to our country but before that the government should build a modern aircraft factory which we can make our own combat/spy/cargo and rescue aircraft then we can buy one aircraft carrier and study it so that we can make our own. remember modern aircraft carriers are nuclear powered ship so we also need nuclear facility to fuel it. will this is my opinion i don't know about yours. share if u have a different view
