Afghanistan is the largest drug farm on Earth, with more than 90 percent of the world's poppy plantations. But now the killer crop has met its match - a mysterious disease. Afghan farmers blame the government and foreign forces for poisoning their main source of income. RT's military analyst Yevgeny Khrushchev says the U.S. is actually failing to take advantage of the situation...

  • The US government really had nothing to do with this -- they would never do anything to reduce one of their biggest sources of income!!!

  • Lol..the US is there to insure that the opium flows..whereas Russia tried to wipe it out.

Its a primary leg of Rome and her Orders black market trade. Usury, drugs, slave trade...how most of the 'Orders' began.

  • dam chemical weapon engineered to do that to poppi , thats foul

  • Heroin is a drug too addictive for the goverments of the world to ignore it. If they can control the heroin distribution(which they are trying too, look at Mexico) they have the worlds most stable income to rely on.

A heroin addict can in the worst cases of addiction cause his body to shut down completely and die if he does not get it.

    Ultimate control.

  • who the fuck cut this niggas hair and why the fuck is he talking like a robot

  • poppie paki? or poopy paki?

  • The Russians are just jealous that the US were the only people to successfully invade and hold Afghanistan, so now they have to take cheap shots at us.

  • @HarunDanyal You are correct and I was disappointed to learn that an RT report yesterday insinuated that the Taliban are making money from poppy. It is clearly documented in UN reports that the Taliban reduced poppy to near extermination. Unless you are going to tell me that they changed their religion, this is unlikely. Good thing TPTB had US troops 'Fix' it are now allowing soldiers to get addicted to the milk to create a larger illicit heroin/prescription pills market when they get home.

  • @abbesieyes Russia tried to wipe it out? The Taliban got rid of it after the Russians gave up. Not the other way around.

  • @100101010101010100 Okay. I hadn't thought of it that way.

  • @LouisianaGatorGirl Why not? Maybe crop yields were going to be too high that year which threatened to drop prices. It would then make sense to destroy a certain percentage to keep prices high. This is basic supply and demand. Its the same strategy DeBeers used when they bought all the diamond mines and said they were rare... Or oil companies when lower production. So this could actually increase their income.
