The Carolina Panthers improve to 3-8 with a 30-22 win on Monday Night Football over the Philadelphia Eagles. Cam Newton scores four touchdowns in his Monday Night Football debut -- two through the air, and two on the ground -- and in the process quells any major concerns about the direction of the young Panthers squad. James Dator recaps the Panthers' win.

    If Reid stays, Vick stays.

    I'm with you on Reid.

I'm all for agressive, well-calculated risk-taking; I'd argue that most NFL coaches are way to chicken ___ (why bros. Harbaugh are doing so well, I might argue. (an admirable yuck.)) but unless i'm missing a screw, that decision by reid to unnecessarily go for two early in the 2nd quarter had implications later in the game that didn't need to be so. bad risk-reward, cost-benefit analysis by him, no matter how stand up a guy he might be, when it matters on sundays.

even if you're not inclined, cheers for supporting the channel and the intelligent feedback.

as to your response. .yeah man, some of the decision making is just mind-boggling. inconsequential but head-scratching moment from MNF was going for 2 with 13 minutes left in the 2nd quarter! LOL. more in next comment. out ' space!

It wouldn't be too surprising if he does get one, but with what Lurie said this preseason is that they need improvement on the field, and now it's not improved it has gotten even worse now I know his son died and that was heavy on him, but it's been happening like this since last season he's made some odd decisions and is just failing in every way possible, he does have one year on his contract, but I doubt he will be back.

will be interesting to see if reid gets one more shot. i definitely agree that vick is gone. what's he on the books for? 17 million? you're probably right it's a wholesale cleansing, but i don't think i'd be surprised if reid got one more year. what's his contract status?

Oh yeah definitely him, Vick, Nnamdi, I don't see anyone on this coaching staff staying really, it sucks to be in that hole that's so deep you want them to win because it's your team, but the other side you want that top 5 pick. Now I don't live in Philly, and have been a fan since 03, but this is the worst season I've seen 6-10 wasn't this bad.
