I review Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Genesis.

08/31/10 update: Okay, so it's not a "review". It's more of a "preview" (though I consider it a "review of the first zone"). I'd remove the video, but it has too many views for me to want to remove.

Wow 38 secs i usually get done in 30 secs at most and i don't cheat i just know the game at best.

When I was playing, I wasn't intentionally playing for speed. I've gotten 25 seconds on a couple occasions on speed plays.

I always wondered, in Act 2, How do you get the extra life that on top of one of the loops? You know, the ones that make Sonic walk, run, or spin upside down. How do you get that? Please respond. Thank you.

At the start of the act, there is a spring on a rock. If you jump down there, then keep taking the bottom path, you'll come across another spring. Hit this, then hold left. If you are positioned correctly, you'll land on top of the loop.

Even with invincibility, if you miss a jump, you'll most likely fall below the platforms, which is between the spikes and is the death line. Do some research before accusing me of not knowing what I'm talking about.

aaaaaaahhhhhh dude i spent most of my child hood playing this game. this is like the greatest game ever you can take xbox ps3 and wii and burn them all as long as you have the sega genesis and this game you dont need any other consoles

if it were not for sonic i would not even be wacthing this. sonic is the reason why i game. every since i played sonic the hedgehog when i was 4 i ve been playing different games every since. the bule hedgehog has changed my life and open me to another world, a gameing world. and to this i am prond to say hey, tm a gamer and my idol is sonic.

you do realise mario is a like a turtle compared to sonic. there's your answer for why levels can be done so quickly. The whole appeal behind sonic is that he's quite possibly the fastest videogame character of all time. It's a nice alternative to all other side scrollers and platformers in which characters move slowly
