Please stop associating bethnal green with hackney ffs. They are two completely different areas. Hackney is in North East London, not East London and most definatley not part of the 'East End'. Bethnal Green is the most northern part of the 'East End' and along with Whitechapel and Spitalfields is considered to be the heart of the East End.Other areas in the East End are Stepney, Cubitt Town, Shadwell, Limehouse, Mile End, Poplar, Wapping, Bow, Millwall.. Hackney is just an arsenal shithole.

I live just off Homerton high street on Durington Rd, and I can tell you now that Hackney aint so bad, it just got a terrible reputation, but it actually has a really strong sense of community.
