NOTE: The screencasting performance on this game was terrible. I don't know what caused it, maybe this RecordMyDesktop version. The game runs fine on very high settings (without motion blur) otherwise!

Specs:
Wine version: 1.1.9
Linux dist: Ubuntu 8.04
Geforce 8800 GTS 640MB 169.12
Intel E6550 (2,333 GHZ) OCed to 2,8GHZ
2 gb RAM

The low framerate and the occasional framerate drop are caused by the screencasting program!

    Intel Core 2 Duo CPU T5750 @ 2.00GHz 2.00 GHz

  • That's really weird. What graphics card do you use?

Do you have any bad network settings that may interfere? What does the console output say?

  • You should not use recordmydesktop for 3D games. More than happy to send pointers. Yes, my version looks a bit different ;)

  • I can't seem to get car sounds to work (engine, crashing sounds). All other sounds and music work though.

  • How'd you get yours to install? it started up fine, but when it came to the extracting section, i just froze. i kept on starting it over and over but it does the same. Im running Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy w/ Wine.

  • Console output? i just launched tmforever.exe (vista folder) with wine.

Nvidia 8600M is my graphic card

i solved problem thanks :) it was DirectX
