Queue for Indian Visas - London High Commission of India

UPDATE March 2008: Postal applications are now being accepted again, so the queues are apparently much shorter now.

Queues start at about 6:30 each morning. This video was made on 26 September 2007 at about 11:50 - just minutes before the clerk behind the little window closed for the day at noon.

I watched as the clerk issued a ticket to a man who would be the very last customer of the day - and watched the same clerk close the window in the face of that man's girlfriend who was immediately next in line. She'd been waiting since 9:30.

Of course, this whole queue is just to get a numbered ticket to join another queue..

On top of the ususal rush, the Indian High Commission in London has recently stopped accepting postal visa applications, so expect more of the same in the future!

this must have something to do with the massive visa scam committed by well known indian man Jatinder Kumar Sharma he was a darling of the indian community in the UK providing well over 5000 fraudulent visas to murderers, rapists, and other criminals, he himself an adulterer who ironically one of his wives were illegal. may this great tradition of illegal indians continue after all there already the largest illegal immigrant population in the united states barring mexico

It pains me to see all of these folks waiting like this, many of whom are visiting their own home nation. I wonder if the treatment their receive inside will reflect this, too?

Why is all videos of India end up with swearing and cursing about Pakistan and India? Why not the idiots who destroyed a big country in pieces. Instead follow their ways like alot of you are doing. All Pakistan's history comes from India a great country that I respect and will always do my ancestors ones lived there and buried there. I have good friends from India and I would be incomplete without them. Please take care.

Indian embassy staff are the worst pubic service workers I have ever come across, they do not answer the phones, deliberately delay you in the hope that you will give them a little extra money to speed things up, refuse to give their names to you when you wish to make a complaint, I just hope that I never need to use their services ever, try ringing London or Birmingham Indian high commission you will see what i mean, good luck in your search for an Indian gov worker that actually does their job

@ThinkingGuy100 i think she married Björn Ulvaeus and they later divorced but he set up the largely successful mamma mia stage show didn't realise she was banned but after seeing the show in the west end all i can say is thank krishna she was worst £30 i ever paid
