Talented spunkrats Big Scary were the last act to join Jess McGuire in the @3RRRFM studios during Wired For Sound first Radiothon spectacular and they decided to have a crack at recreating the magic of arguably the greatest creative era of the Beach Boys - the Stamos years. With backing vocal help from two lads of Vasco Era fame and Brigitte Hart from Your Animal (as well as a cast of thousands hovering outside the studio), Big Scary's "Kokomo" was hilarious and brilliant and a perfect way to cap off a ridiculously fun night.
After hearing this song (performed with a full drum kit live to air in the studio WITH A BIRO AS A DRUMSTICK) the people of Melbourne made themselves a delicious cocktail, and then called up to subscribe to RRR by calling 03 9388 1027. The people without phones went to the RRR website instead (http://rrr.org.au) and subscribed that way.
