  • @violetjm I agree he took himself too seriously back (by at least 1970) because many rock stars take themselves too seriously (e.g., Bob Dylan). I know this from observation (not of Justin at the time since we did not have YouTube or MTV). But I have observed it in his exquisite performances on YouTube at that 1970 French club. Probably it was the peer pressure to be a touch-me-not and the huge responsibility he was carrying. But with YouTube: he shows he is one of us.

  • @rrip1 In the 70's they were all the lead singers of their own songs, with the exception of Greame.

  • 10-14-2011 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUSTIN !!

  • ... Time Travelers.... What A Great Personality.....Smart....And.... Gracious.....A Legend Having Fun.....

  • When I was a kid in the 60's & 70's and listened to them all of the time, I thought their music was strange, and figured the lead singer, who's name I didn't know, must be strange looking too. I saw him for the 1st time in the mid 80's and was surprised at his appearance. I wouldn't mind looking like him.

  • Haha I love how he says to her 'oh your out to insult me.' haha. He is adorable.

  • Interview begins at 1:47. Justin Hayward is usually so serious and he jokes around here a bit. Fun to see this. Thanks to pointreven for posting!

  • What he says is so very true even today - they have stayed true to themselves and what type of music they want to make. And of course, Justin has always been a wonderful heartthrob for many of us. It's not just his looks, but the deepness of his soul we have been fortunate to know through his poetry and prose. How lucky for us!

  • Mercy!!! What a beautiful guy!! I love you, Justin.

  • Lovely, wonderful!! Thank you so much!!
