This video demonstrates how the old style (Gen1) caliper brackets can loosen up over time. This bracket was taken from a 2001 Audi S4 with Stoptech's 332mm Big Brake kit for the 2000-2002 S4.

My experience with owning StopTechs were not positive over 6 years. I replaced cracked hats, caliper brackets, and calipers, plus frozen bridge bolts and corroded shims.

I don't recommend StopTech, especially if your car sees salty winters.

I do recommend Brembo, Wilwood and Alcon

  • there shouldnt be any problem when using locktite.

i have mine for over 5 years on my e36 m3, and they still havent come loose
