  • But where does it say that hell is a place you burn from the day you die, give me biblical scriptures.

  • @sweetaududette

    Matthew 3:12

...He will clear his threshing floor and gather his wheat into his barn, but the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire.

    Matthew 7:19

Every tree that does not bear good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.

    Jude 7

...they, indulged in sexual promiscuity and practiced unnatural vice, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.

    And many, many more...

  • @sweetaududette

    Matthew 10:28

And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather, be afraid of the one who can destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.

    Hebrews 10:27

a fearful prospect of judgment and a flaming fire that is going to consume the adversaries.

  • So babies that die w/ out being baptized, people living in the jungels of the amazon who have never heard of christ go to purgatory to be cleansed for a sin they have no idea of?

  • @mufc1970ok I'am with you !!

  • Jesus died on the cross so that we could be saved, he has already paid the price for our soul , relax everyone! we have been saved , thats the good news of the Gospel.

  • My Catholic Brothers and Sisters. Please pray for us all. There's no other way to put it: Hell is terrifying.

BTW, just a technical point on this. What happens to someone who dies in mortal sin but otherwise lived his life by regularly going to confession? Kind of like Hamlet's father in Shakespeare. Any official Church docs that someone can refer to me please.

  • These scriptures do not say that hell is where a body goes when they die. Look for death in bible and find out what happens when we die. No one goes in to the lake of fire till the return of christ when everyone will be judged. For now our bodies go to hell, which is the ground, and our souls sleep till jesus return. Read your bible

  • i like fr william casey , he a good priest , who tells the truth , like fr john corapi he tells it like it is , god bless these holy priests
