Another twist on Lucas and Peyton...
AU: Lucas and Peyton are in love. Lucas is also a soldier and in an unfortunate turn of circumstance, he tells Peyton that he has been deployed. She is obiviously upset by this but finds comfort in the thought of Lucas while he is away and the correspondence between them. But not long after he leaves, Peyton receives the heartbreaking news from Karen that Lucas has been killed in action. She is devestated and no matter what she does, where she goes, everything reminds her of Lucas. And the thoughts of him that were once comforting to her are nothing but painful.

I must admit, I usually can't stand the fanmade alternate reality stuff, especially when two different shows are overlapped. They are usually very cheezy. I found this strictly by accident. But I have to say, this was fantastically well done! Great job... it was a wonderful story that you told, and made to look seamless. Looks like it could be from the same show. FANTASTIC!
