say what ever you want about the shah, but you cannot deny the fact that economically speaking - and social freedoms in that case, as well - Iran was is a much better place than it is know. So much for progress.

yes, ONE man who envisioned great things and did a lot in a very short time was surrounded by thieves and corruption( Iranians) from one side and other theives the so called friends who were in reality enemies( the west) from the other. when all students who were sent to Europe& US free of expense , went out& threw rotten tomatoes& eggs at poor shah when he visited. they went back to Iran , helped the revolution caused the ruin of Iran and than escaped to the west to live.

It is shame that i come from a country there r so many low lifes still looking for fucking dictatorship. Village i was born they were kids as young as 6 or 7 yrs old was working some times 7 days a week to fed themselves this ass whole according the law he should salary of average doctor in the country but he was taking a shit in golden shitters in expences of these children .You ass wholes need to be king yourselves an other ward be fucking indeponded why do you want an other dictator!

The temporary end of Persian Monarchy has a lot of parallels to the End of Germanys Monarchy. In both cases propaganda was made against a good but not perfect system. The fire went out of control, and after the old system was gone people realized what they had done. In Persia it ended with an islamic republic, in Germany it ended with Hitler and WW2.

I just hope that the pahlavi dynasty will return someday. Long live the shah!
