Royally Screwed by Harley Davidson in Burlington, Iowa

I bought a new Harley trike from Heartland Harley Davidson in Burlington, Iowa, and trailered it home. After driving it a few times, it started throwing oil and that's when my troubles started. It has been in and out of the shop for several months and Harley will not cover the work under warranty because of the conversion kit. I live in another state and the dealership refuses to work with me. They got my perfectly good Harley tradein and I got their LEMON!!

I have since told HD Corp they can have it back,,,,threw the rod bearings,.,

Everyone that has had problems with Heartland needs to file complaints with BBB corperation comission, attorney generals office, and if you have a lawyer that will take the case I'd be more than willing to show up in court with all my paperwork

well cuteandpsyco, its like this. the problem is Bob flat lied about the warrenty being covered by HD,.,. And since HD does NOT manufacture any parts,., theu can pick and choose what they want to cover,., I still have 5yrs to take it to court on breach of contract.,.

I do not blame HD. You need to find your laws out about dealing with the shop.

U.S. Trikes offers a lifetime warranty on all of our manufactured parts.

If it breaks down [fat chance] we'll fix it.

When we build you a kit, you can simply _take it off_ , put the 2 wheell parts back on and go to your Harley dealer with a 2 wheeler again and they'll cover warranty repairs, then.

Sorry HD screwed you like they do everybody else with a trke.

Sad but so typical of a Harley Dealer. This is the kind of thing that keeps so many people from buying the newer ones. Personally I refuse to own any Twin Cam Harley and many HD mechanics will tell you (usually in private,) that the Evolution motor is a much more dependable engine.

I feel sorry for ya man, How did things work out? Whats with this ignoraramis saying thats what you get for buying a trike?? Ya little pinhead, you got any idea what one of these trikes cost??? twice as much as non triek equivelant. They are the king of all bikes...the rolls royces of motorcycling...be it harley, honda goldwings.... Mines a dyna fxr with Lehmann cionversion, s&s complete super stock 96" (for torque) Paint that gets praise everywhere i go. BEST LUCK TOO YOU SIR!

I am dealing with Charlie and looking at a 2011 trike ultra the big difference is Harley built this trike from the ground up .Charlie and his staff have treated me well

however I feel your pain they should warranty the motor this has nothing to do with the conversion kit .just wanted to say hope things work out for you nice looking trike though

the only reason why i dislike it is because that this situation is bullshit... HHD needs to step up and accept responsibility
