Baby Brush Hogs kick. ass.
-
Zoom watermelon seed is probably the best lure I have ever used in my entire life. I find it a lot better just slowly bringing it in across weeds bringing it to the surface then letting it sink about 6 inches. Baby brush hogs are better than the large though

@WstrnMassOutdoorsman lots of different moving parts attract fish, so they make baits like this
-
@WstrnMassOutdoorsman dude most of our baits don't really look much like their natural prey anyway. Spinners, as much as we would like to believe, don't resemble fish that well. Just somewhat. See, bass don't really care if it looks like a craw, or minnow, or worm...They just care that whatever it is, seems alive. That's enough. Now, it usually doesn't hurt to make it at least somewhat resemble natural prey. But it doesn't have to look too specific.

@WstrnMassOutdoorsman usually pond fish eat anything
-
@WstrnMassOutdoorsman A bass will eat just about anything that resembiles prey, simply out of instinct. If you know a pond doesn't have leeches for example, a bass in said pond would still eat a leach out of instinct and curiosity. However, you're much better off matching the types of forage that are found naturally.

A straight shank hook is almost mandatory. On lake Murray I found a rock ledge I think this will work great on it.
-
i believe brush hogs are suppose to imitate a crawdad lol. or something close to that
-
get this. they work good as a topwater to. i was usin em' weightless at a pond that has very little bass and they were hitting it left and right.

@WstrnMassOutdoorsman If you put it in front of them, I would guess that they will eat it. Give them a try and see how it goes.
Yes, separate the arms if you want them to move. A lot of soft plastics come like that from their molding process.
