How refreshing to see the husband speak for the family. I'm sick of the way the media depicts families these days; a shrewish woman berating her husband for any number of perceived 'weaknesses/failings'. Commercials are the worst offenders in that vein. Real women, whether Christian or not, appreciate their husbands and their leadership in the home.
How to live on one income? Exercise wisdom, frugality, and live below your means. No one NEEDS cable TV, new cars, or convenience foods.
I work for myself, business is terribly slow; my wife has been fired and can't find any profitable (reasonable) jobs. I'm very scared about thinking of having children and not being able to support them properly... we are learning to live with less, maybe we'll find a way to make it.
You are so right, and we've discussed this so many times. There just comes a place when the trust level has to satisfy our questions and fears. And this is always a new day for us, and more practice is always needed. We are in a risky place in the world's eyes, but one that feels obedient and safe at the same time. God Bless You as you pursue Him for you and your family! Thank you for posting a comment!
I like your attitude, but sometimes financialy things hit all at once, also something could happen to you, and your wife would have to provide for your children.
