@Skorowin77 I own three Remington 700's, and have shot other 700's that I do not own. Never under any circumstances have any of them fired by themselves.
Remington tested the supposed firearms that went off by themselves, in that CNBC report you got this information from, and they could not reproduce the supposed misfires under any circumstances.
Remington 700's don't go off by themselves under normal working conditions with proper gun maintenance, you can bank on it.

Where in Arenac Co. is this?

@TheGreatlakesfishen1 There's no homework to be done. Even giving a possible assumption that what you say might be true, ATF would have Remington shut down in a hot minute if that were even close to the case. Anti-gun nuts every where love to spout this ideaology b/c Remington is one of the largest gun-makers in the US. You sir, should do your homework. Under no circumstances would this company have the sales and reputation they do if they built firearms like that. Enough said.

@digger024 Yea maybe you should do your homework. over 5 million 700s sold and 20,000 defective. I own a 2005 rem 700 in 30-06 never had a problem with it until a few weeks ago. Went to shoot a deer, i racked in a shell and it went off, then i racked in another shell and moved the saftey to safe and it goes off again. note my finger nowhere near the trigger, as it was puting the saftey on. THIS IS real and it could happen to 20,000 guns out there.

Let me tell you a story about hunting with a 30-06 me and my dad were hunting at 50 yards and we see a buck fucking a doe I shoot and it goes right over its back (our guns where sited in at 100) it goes and jumps right as my dad shoots im looking through my scope and my dad shot its leg off with a 150 grain ballistic tip 30-06 luckily I got a shot off as it ran and spined him before he got into the woods and suffered but that goes to show what that round can do.

@hatesquests I think someone is just jealous because they don't have any of the skills to bag a deer. You obviously have no idea about shooting, tracking, scouting, or anything related to hunting. It takes a great deal of patience and discipline. Even just picking a spot to hunt takes a great deal of knowledge and skill. You need to keep your mouth shut about things you know nothing about. How many times have you ever gone hunting? How many times have you ever shot a deer?
-
@hatesquests Really?If it is so easy then how many have you killed?Hunting is very challenging.And by the way, many hunters like myself walk way out in the woods and stay out there from dawn till dusk.Why don't you sit outside for that long in the cold and see how long you last.Being able to shoot and control your nerves is a challenge.Tracking is not an easy task at all.Deer don't just run ten feet and stop and often there is not much blood. Luck is a minimal factor.Bottom line your a moron!

No challenge whatsoever like I said.. You prolly have feeding plots near the blind right? Ok lets sit right there ans whisper to one another and just wait for the deer to come yeah gitrdun broski...Oh theres one quick get the camera but dont show the feeding plot on the picture cuz wes dont wants to show others that we baited them and made an easy kill...
wipe that spittle off ur chin.

@hyrdrosmash
You're bordering on delirious, definitely misguided.
No food plots around this blind, although there is NO PROBLEM with them whatsoever. Baiting is not only ethical but necessary at times.
Go back to your Taco Bell drive thru line and pretend that every meal you eat is somehow a greater challenge than this hunt.
