This is my Eaton Viking vacuum cleaner I found at a thrift store. Who could resist the bright orange color? Well not me. Eatons was a major dept store in Canada now gone and their appliances were branded Viking. Nothing at all to do with those expensive stainless steel Viking brand stoves etc sold in the USA. The machine itself was made by Eureka for Eatons as they did for many major dept store over the years. It's a nice generic vacuum, well built, all metal construction with plastic appuratances and switches which are prone to cracking or breaking so you have to be somewhat gentle with it.
I yesterday on the side of the road..a Eureka Canister Rotomatic with Edge Kleener with all the attachments and tools on top..like the one shown here.. I went back and asked the person who left it on the road for someone like me..if they had the manual or any bags...and she-the owner found some bags, some filters, and 1 belt...but no owners-manual ;((....But she said it works fine and she didn't want a canaster no-more.. She must have left it in her basement...cause I had to clean it...Orange!!!

Great machine. I wish I had more time to restore mine. I've currently got my Hoover model 725 listed on Ebay for $15 plus $40 for shipping fees. It's all original and runs great. Sale ends in less than a week so sooner is better than later. Just do a search for Hoover 725 as I believe it's the only one currently on the market.

I have the same thing, but mine is a JC Penney Model 1457 A. Mine is brown, not orange; and it doesn't have a cord winder or a power nozzle.

I can't remember exactly but it's rare that I would pay more than $20 for anything.
