Le Great Parachute Debauchery

One cold day in Paris a man who thought he could fly,
He built himself some wings so he could sore into the sky,
He tested it on dummies but he still wanted to try,
He never thought today would be the day he said goodbye.

He climbed the Eifel Tower you could hear his heart pound,
Everyone sat watching and nobody made a sound,
He toed the edge slowly and then plummeted down,
His human wings did nothing as he crashed into the ground,

He accomplished his feats of fame and notoriety,
He left his mark not in the ground, but in the eyes of all society,
His deed of which he died was one of great impropriety,
Instead of trying to fly he should have focused on sobriety.
