High Profile Environmental Activist Erin Brockovich is in town tonight on behalf of resident's with toxic contaminated water.
She wants to personally meet with the folks whose water wells have been contaminated by high levels of chromium.
For at least half a mile surrounding W. County Road 112, 36 waterwells are contaminated with chromium six.
The highest legal limit is 100 hundred parts per billion gallons of water which is the highest level found in the area so far is 5000 parts per billion.
Right now the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality is continuing to investigate how widespread this contamination is. So far they've expanded their search another quarter mile in 3 directions.
On May 28th angry residents expressed their frustration about the contamination. Now those same residents are meeting with Erin Brockovich to see what their legal options are.
