@bbmtge but like Brash or Laraque, they were both dominating figthers in their era for sure.
I think ; if you eat punches yourself it makes you a loser more, by Laraque logic... he was the Boss, barely eat any punches and went to takedowns quickly, he was just a boss.
Top10 fighter of all the time as i have ranked him for 9.place.
Number one is Probert, second comes Brashear, 3.Brown 4.Wilson
@MrJuha82 Could you tell me what year U think hunter a top10 fighter? Must have been before 1985 because the top 10 in 85/86 season were Nilan, Miller, Kordic, Probert, Richter, McSorley, Brown, Playfair, Wilson, Kyte. In the early 80s, I would put Nystrom, Gillies, Plett, O'Reilly, Nilan, Semenko, Cochrane, Fotiu, Playfair, Wilson ahead of Hunter, and I probably missed serveral others.
@bbmtge fair enough. however that was the strategy of several heavyweight fighters of yesteryear, most notable the king of 2nd half fighters Bob Probert...Probert though had enough gas left in the tank to give a beating, after first riding out his opponent for 30 or so seconds.
@lakeerie90s I never respected the fighter who skates away from his opponent, holds on for dear life with one goal in mind...to make you tired from trying to get your arm free and...FIGHT and then tries to unload, in his case, with painfully SLOW lefts. He couldn't even take his beating from Brash like a man.
@bbmtge I agree hunter was over-rated; never a top10 fighter of any year, but still a decent fighter. beat semenko once in his prime in the famous 1983 playoff fight. had a win over dave richter. brashear destroyed hunter when he was an old fart.

@bbmtge hey i dont care what is your style, you either can go toe to toe, wrestle, hugs or tying up your opponent, no matter much with style.
Brashear was Brashear, a great fighter who wins, wins and wins.
Same thing with Probert, he was impressive fighter, takes some bad beatings but that happen actually when you fight with open style.
And Tony Twist, his win% is great if we think about his very open style, few TKOlosses but not surprise because with his style.

@lakeerie90s Hey dude, you are right.
It was misunderstanding by me.
I remembered wrong way.
I havent rank Hunter to Top10 as i mean the seasons like 87-88-90-91.
But i think Hunter was that Top10 fighter as i havent make other lists of his earlier seasons when Hunter came to the league.

@lakeerie90s Disagree...in most fights, Ptobert started and finshed. I have seen many an opponent try to tie him up, though.
