This is my second sportbike accident. The first one was an 80mph wreck where I slid/tumbled 125 feet down the road.

This accident was after I came to a stop at a red light, and made a right through the light. All I know is that my rear tire slid out so far that I drifted and lowsided into the curb on the right-hand side of the road I was turning onto. Both the bike and myself bounced off the curb. I would say 10mph is the max speed I could have been going.

I have 11 stitches in my right knee and my back is bruised pretty bad. I'm lucky I didn't break anything. Anyway, it's just part of the sport and I hope to be in good health and back on a bike (if not this one) in the next month or so. Cheers to all my viewers! And remember, take it easy on the throttle in turns and look for dirt/pebbles on the roads! =)

  • Yah know, Nick is really a good man. He advises other riders about throttle savvy and awareness, in turns? That's thoughtfull/unselfish. Thank you Nick. Oh, and the "talking" cut makes me laugh. Heal up soon, bro.

  • Yah man, I gave it too much gas in that turn for the condition of the road and my tires. Thanks for the well wishes. You're up EARLY on a Saturday dude!

  • there is never the crash vid, mmm, why. dont let this slow you down, i am back int the saddle again keep saying that time and time again....

  • is that covered by your insurance?

  • work on the clutch slipping bro,,,

  • Glad you made out ok bro,, might wanna work on the clutch slipping a bit more on the low speed turns...

  • talking cut.....lol good way to put a positive spin on things....people always talk to me about how im going to crash...i just say its part of riding on 2 wheels..freedom isnt free i guess.

  • pretty bad

  • It's always lucky when you walk away. I've had 2 also. First at 5-10mph front wheel lost traction. No real problems. Next one: 35mph low-side into a guard rail. Skinned my right ankle off in a pile of sand around a blind corner. You should see my helmet. Crazy that people don't wear them. Cleaning the dirt/sand out in the hospital was bad. But it's still lucky when you can walk away. I doubt I'll ever give up riding either.

Btw: that's a nice garage. Hope the bike got fixed soon.

  • Sounds similar to what happen to me, i just went down yesterday, i took a hairpin turn to slow so i tried to speed up but there was a car in front of me so.....my peg and foot got caught and the rear just went.

    Glad to hear your okay.

    ride safe.

  • Damn man! I had the same thing happen to me last sunday! My 07 R6 is messed up. Luckily not as bad as yours and I only have a slightly brused hand. Made a slid show video that is going up sometime soon. If you want to see the damage let me know or look on my profile.
