  • This is one of Jerry Goldsmith's best and most overlooked compositions he wrote. The contrast of the violins and the low basses mixed with the oriental rythum makes it very unique

  • Great to find this here, hope you have the time to upload more from this score!

  • "What happened? What the hell happened!?"

  • The best of his film scores for the best of McQueen's films.

  • GREAT MUSIC AND MOVIE. THEY DON'T MAKE THEM LIKE THIS ANYMORE PERIOD!!!

  • @bunkytony This music has real drama in it. Most contemporary scores for films are weak by comparison, though there are some good composers still around.

  • @danvalenti They might try to remake it, but I'll tell you now it would be pale shadow of the original. Unfortunately Hollywood has totally lost the art of making "serious" films of this calibre, they're too obsessed with stereotypes who are always totally unconvincing.

  • @danvalenti Retired 30 year Navy man. Traveled all oceans and touched at least 45 counties from West Africa to the Orient. I love this film for It's true story of a REAL sailor. McQueen was awesome in this role. Book written by a actual River sailor..Richard Mckenna. A must read.

  • Haunting soundtrack, Epic movie with McQueen showing he was a great actor! Great river battle scene. An almost forgotten Richard Crenna as the captain. Candace Bergen would make almost any man go AWOL. Kick back and enjoy a great old school movie. I hope they don't try to remake this one...any current actor just won't fit.

  • Terrific score , terrific movie. One of McQueen's finest performances.

  • This theme perfectly conveys the sense of impending doom that hangs over the entire film. After hearing this, you know there'll be no happy ending for Jake Holman.

  • This is one of my favorite movies. It has a great style & story, and I LOVE the score. Thanks for uploading!
