The Beatles- Rocky Racoon

Now somewhere in the black mountain hills of dakota
There lived a young boy named rocky raccoon
And one day his woman ran off with another guy
Hit young rocky in the eye, rocky didnt like that
He said Im gonna get that boy
So one day he walked into town
Booked himself a room in the local saloon

Rocky raccoon checked into his room
Only to find gideons bible
Rocky had come equipped with a gun
To shoot off the legs of his rival
His rival it seems had broken his dreams
By stealing the girl of his fancy
Her name was magil and she called herself lil
But everyone knew her as nancy

Now she and her man who called himself dan
Were in the next room at the hoe down
Rocky burst in and grinning a grin
He said danny boy this is a showdown
But daniel was hot - he drew first and shot
And rocky collapsed in the corner

Now the doctor came in stinking of gin
And proceeded to lie on the table
He said rocky you met your match
And rocky said, doc its only a scratch
And Ill be better, Ill be better doc as soon as I am able

Now rocky raccoon he fell back in his room
Only to find gideons bible
Gideon checked out and he left it no doubt
To help with good rockys revival

  • I love how beautifuly this song reeks of melancholy. Just how well it matches Rocky's feeling of depression and shame; then, when that amazing Honky Tonk piano kicks in, it reminds me that as low as you can sink there's always some form of hope or another. That as lonely and desperate as you get there's always something to crack a smile at. This is my favorite Beatles song (which puts it somewhere in my top 5 favorite songs list)

  • @kman13131 A few aren't my favorites...However, they are all good songs; i just like some more than others. Touche, good sir.

  • Amo esta canción !!! de lo mejor que tiene el Album Blanco :)

  • @ThaDrewLiciousOne

Looks like you made a type-o, You obviously meant 100%.

  • I love the Beatles. I can't understand my friends' disliking of them. This song is fantastic, and so are 90% of their other songs.

    Beatles. Are. Amazing.

  • This song is so good. I love the Beatles, always have, always will.

  • @KevSaysGoOsu It's uninteresting how unintelligent you are succeeding in appearing.

  • @sirmoonface It's interesting how intelligent you are attempting to appear.

  • @redsoxfan1324 Insert Maxwell's Silver Hammer in Yellow Submarine's slot and Let It Be where Bungalo Bill is and you're you're doing it right.

  • It`s mining hills, not mountain hills, anyway great song
