The Flamin' Mamies - Dr. Jazz

This is our raucous version of 'Doctor Jazz', written by King Oliver in 1926. Did you like the bit where I pretended to be a trumpet...

The Flamin' Mamies are a 5 piece, all-girl jazz string band who hail from Liverpool in the UK. We have been playing together for just over 2 years and we were mostly beginners when we started. Our line up is:

Lil' Mamie Brown - Vocals and Guitar
Kirsty Walker - Double Bass
Mandy 'Banjo' Bailey - Banjo and vocals / scat sounds
Chantilly Lace - Ukulele and vocals / scat sounds
Cress the Goddess - Washboard and Percussion
