Did the Mercury Bobcat blow up on rear impact like the Ford Pinto did? It shared the same body shell.

Really? There wasnt anything better the japs had than this maybe until 1978 when the accord came out. The jap cars of the 70s rusted twice as fast as the americans and had less room
