I purchased this shotgun for "HOME SECURITY" purposes, but I didn't realize the issues that it had since the beginning. But now, I won't even consider this to trust my life and or my family. I sent this shotgun back for repairs and out of THREE major issues that I mentioned, TWO is fixed and STILL I have this jamming and shell issues falling out while pumping the shotgun. The Mossberg gunsmith didn't test this shotgun out prior to returning to me? I spent my own money to get this fixed and they returned it back to me STILL UNRELIABLE!!! This issue could've cost me and my family's lives!!! If any of you guys out there thinking of getting one of these? you might aswell get a GLOCK at least you don't have to worry about it's reliability.

  • Well every now and then a company does make a lemon or two (It can be said of any company) But if you would like to give it another try.

Take a look at the Mossberg 50455 and a13-inch L.O.P. stock.

    It should serve you well.

  • @Pfletch83

Thanks for the advice but from looking at your video, I don't see the resemblance of the 50455 and the 410HS. For some reason the shotgun that you showed looks a lot more bigger than the ones I got. I'll probably try it later down the road, right now I'm still bummed out by this junk in my home... thanks again...

  • It's just the shell intrupter and should straghten out with a cleaning and some use.

Check out my vid called "Project Codename : Dr. Feelgood"

Mine had similar problems the first few times I tried to load it and I found that it was the way the shells were loaded (I wasn't loading them all the way,and the first shell from the magazine would dump out as the shell elevator moved to catch a shell for loading).

  • @Pfletch83

I know about the loading incorrectly. If you saw the very first video I did when I bought this it I mentioned about me loading it incorrectly. But after a year and multiple shooting outdoors, I concluded that this is just plain junk. I am not a gunsmith and I am not confident enough to manipulate whatever that is in the gun as I may do something wrong that it could pose a danger to me or others. But thanks for the info. I will check your video out.

  • You just saved me about $400.00. My wife and and I decided to purchase one of these as she is tiny and could handle the recoil. So much for that. Thank you for posting this.

  • @TheSweetOldMan

I bought this shotgun for the wife and kids, but now I won't even let them get near this thing! Try reconsidering a Judge Revolver as it takes 410 shells and a whole bunch of other ammo aswell...

  • Thanks for the video; i was about to buy it this piece of crap for my wife. stupid dealer swore that it was a wonderful gun without any flaws. all I've found so far from research is that it is garbage. on the look for something new.. $400 video!

  • I never had any problems with my mossberg! Try different ammo!

  • @Pfletch83 Agreed, it sounds like the problem is the shell stop and/or the shell interrupter. Search on Google for "Correcting Feed Problems In Your Mossy" for some info on how to fix it.

Before messing around with these parts, I would first recommend you disassemble the gun, THOROUGHLY clean it, and lightly oil the moving parts. There might be some debris or caked-up lubricant preventing the shell stop or shell interruptor from functioning properly.

  • That's because of the base model I started working with (50104) the synthetic stock would fit the same as the HS model as far as shouldering the weapon.

The main reason for taking the pistol grip off the Cruiser is to allow easier cleaning without having to take the stock off everytime, plus you get the full range of use with your scatter gun. Forearm reach should be the same as well.
