Two great songs! Leaders are Jo Dell Albi and Anne Steel. I clearly remember hearing these two songs led together almost thirty years ago at the Joe Myers singing in Alabama, October 1980 by Uncle Charlie Creel, who sang them both with great feeling in the last year of his life.

@mudws Thanks for the info and the history! Too bad they didn't have YouTube back when Joe Myers and 'Uncle Charlie Creel' were leading those songs in Alabama. Then we could all experience more of the authentic tradition that you describe here (at least, to a degree).
