Dutch Mantell - Dirtiest Player in the Game! (3-27-82) Classic Memphis Wrestling

After a grueling "No DQ" match last Monday night, Dutch Mantell concludes that he and Jerry Lawler are about equally matched, therefore the only way to resolve their issues would be to have a "Loser Leaves Town" match right on television... today!

Jerry Lawler, eager to resolve their issues, takes The Dirty Dutchman up on the offer and they begin another fight to a draw--a short repeat of their recent matches--with no one gaining a decisive advantage. After the point has been made, Mantell bails out of the ring heads for the announcer's table and gets Lance to his feet for an impromptu interview.

Dutch, gasping for air, is beginning to see the futility of their battles and wants to call off the match and have a summit for peace negotiations with Lawler. Hey, wait a second now... Let's hear him out. He has a few points that make sense, and the unwitting crowd agrees. Soon, the Memphis fans find they've helped steer their King right into a vicious beatdown. Heh heh. ;)
