We took our children to Uncle Al Show in 1965.......they recall that day as so special! Ann and Lou Kunkel, now in Wisconsin.

In 1958, Uncle Al used a "birthday slide" and you got slide down if it was your birthday. My brother climbed up to the top of the slide. Uncle Al said, "and how old are you today?" My brother said, "it's not my birthday!" ... and slid down the slide! Live TV ... and the audience roared. Funnier still ... he went up a 2nd time ... and before Uncle Al could catch him ... and slid down again! Great memories of live Cincinnati TV! Uncle Al and Wanda Lewis ...Cincinnati icons!

For kids growing up in the 50s, Uncle Al is what you watched for morning TV. I was on the Uncle Al Show in 1958. I actually played "Roger Robot" (early shows had kids who attended the show play parts in the show). I won a tricycle race around a large Grippo Pretzel Can winning a Davy Crockett canteen. I feel blessed to have been a very small part of the Uncle Al experience as Al and Wanda Lewis were truly icons in Cincinnati TV history.

I was 3-5 years old and living in Dayton in the early-'70s. I had forgotten about Uncle Al until recently and decided to look up the show. Thank you for your years of entertainment, Uncle Al!

Will never forget being on the Uncle Al Show even though I was only 4 or five years old. I ran and jumped on the Barq's Root Beer cooler on wheels when they pushed it on-set. Another memory is how loud his accordion was.

I was actually on the Uncle Al Show when I was a little girl. I wish I knew the episode number. I'd love to see it now.

I was on the Uncle Al show in 1970. I wish I could find that episode. And in the same year I was on the Cowboy Bob show in Indy.
