  • @MachTo5 - They do sound really good, though stylish isn't exactly a word I'd associate with them.

    @kevbodian - Maybe you lucked out on your case - both myself and a co-worker happily own PortaPros, and neither of ours fit into the cases.

    @Maximus245 - Thanks so much!

  • also the portapro: LIFETIME WARRANTY, no matter where you buy it. very nice

  • Thanks for adding that in - I knew there was SOMETHING I'd left out!

  • I'd imagine since both are Bose products, the sound would be comparable at least. I would think that the on-ear would have a little better bass response just because of their size. I haven't had a lot of firsthand experience with the in-ear 'phones, so I can't compare the two firsthand. There are also the over-the-ear headphones, which are supposed to be very similar in sound profile to the in-ear.

  • They do fit in the case but it's snug. It has a lifetime warranty so it doesn't matter if they break

  • Skullcandies are awful, awful headphones. All looks no substance. By substance I mean they sound crap.

  • its a coin purse guys. jesus

  • @EbatesTV I've had no problem getting them in the case, you've just got to remember to give it some when you fold them down. I was worried about that at first - I couldn't get mine in either, but I spoke to the person who'd recommended them to me, and she just said, make sure you close them as far as possible. Since then I've had no trouble. It's a snug fit mind you, but they will go in.

  • I owned a pair of portapros about 13 years ago and they were really awesome. My favorite pair. I use Sennheiser px100 now and I actually like the sound better than my Sennheiser hd570 pair. I highly recommend the px100, very natural and accurate sound. I want to buy another pair of the portapros since they are a favorite. I really dont like the sound of Bose headphones. They sound too tinny and the bass is sloppy, and sounds distant to me. They are highly overated and a huge ripoff.

  • I'm sorry, I can't take you seriously. You do not seem to know what you are talking about, claiming that bigger speakers equals better sound. Also, it doesn't make much sense to me start a video where you ultimately recommend a set of PortaPros by talking about "advanced technology", as they are identical to original made in 1984. Lastly, I would never recommend that ANYONE by a headset for more than $50 if they're going to use it with an iPod, as they produce quite poor quality of sound.

  • Thanks I already have one Koss Porta Pro and it is GREATE!

  • @TehDuffs yup i just ordered these to replace my skull candy. skull candy sound great the reliability SUCKS... they break tooo easily

  • I'm a PortaPro fanatic and E-Gad! You say the PortaPros do not fit in the carrying case? Many a shame on you sir.

  • thank you very much, great review. im buying a portapro.
