I took my dash 9's down to Orange County Model Engineers for their spring meet. We test fit one of the locomotives on the trailer earlier that week, since this would be the first time away from LALS. We loaded everything up on Thursday, and left LALS Friday morning. Had a fun time running that day and into the evening. We ran on Saturday morning, and came back to LALS that evening.
Nice video. Near the end is that an MDM Locomotive Works GP-60?

@CobraChamp Not for sure. It's gas powered, and I don't know of any MDM locomotives that are gas, I think they are electric.

@1218611 I think you're right about the electric. Mine was. But I sure like you loco's. Do they have a braking system that works? My MDM GP60 had a compressed air tank that used a prototypical pad but it wasn't very effective for heavy trains.

@CobraChamp Mine has a air tank and compressor. It's set up as automatic brakes, not straight air. Our club bench cars are all set up with automatic brakes, so thats what I went with.

@1218611 Yeah I had a compressor and tank too but what do you mean by "automatic brakes"?

@CobraChamp The engines are set up for automatic air brakes, reduce train line air pressure to apply the brakes. Just like the real thing. Not straight air, where you pump the line up to apply the brakes. Also with automatic air, if there is a break in the air line the brakes apply, just like the real thing.
