  • how can you do this in the oven?

  • @dserum06 Put your spaghetti on a cookie sheet lined with some parchment paper in the middle of the oven. Set the ovens temp to 160F and leave to door slightly cracked. Rotate your cookie sheet 90 degrees every 2 hours. At the halfway point flip your spaghetti over. You should be finished in about 18 - 20 hours.

  • What's the advantage of putting the dehydrated food inside a foil pouch (or in Mylar, for that matter)?

  • @WetBryum The foil keeps light away from the food. For long term storage, light will contribute to your food going bad. Plus, the foil acts as a second layer and can help maintain the seal on the meals.

  • what about deserts? like cake??

  • @steeleninja3 I'm working on those. We will definitely have pies in future episodes.

  • Recently a chef friend showed me his powdered olive oil. He uses tapioca maltodextrin. If you like to add some fat to your meals, give it a try.

  • Thank you for sharing this! Very informative!

  • LOVE your videos! ! ! I’m looking for a dehydrator now... I’ve been told the brand Excalibur is one of the best out there so I’m looking at the model 2500 for 149.99. Can’t wait to get it and start cooking the food that I like! Thank you so much for your great videos and hope to see many more! I AM subscribed to your channel...

  • I need to get a dehydrator and vacuum sealer! Great video!

  • Totally thought that was my phone ringing while watching this. Same ringtone. Great video, but it seems odd to use the aluminum foil if it has no real purpose on the trail. Thanks for the video!

  • Very impressive first episode. You will become a YouTube favorite because of your enthusiasm...your real world solutions and a great delivery. Well Done!

  • Wow man what a great addition to the youtube community. This is hands down the coolest video I've seen in a while.

    Subbed!

  • ....almost forgot......GREAT VIDEO!
