  • I bought a red bandit off craigslist just like that one, with both broken shock towers, for 8 bucks. Sadly, no remote or battery cover. What MHZ frequency is the red bandit btw? Also I got a black turbo hammer and a black eliminator both also without remotes. Could you tell me what remotes could work them? I never owned these cars growing up as I was only allowed one rc car ever few years Thanks.

  • @76hotrodF250 Hi, I have the truck boxed up at my moms house so I'm not sure the mhz. I'm pretty sure if you buy a turbo hopper controller they work too and it has to be either 27mhz or 49mhz so just buy controller on ebay with busted car or something is what I'd recommend.

  • dude im looking for one those in black like i had when i was a kid. no luck on ebay so far

  • I got a black baja bandit too which was the 1st one to come out which was around xmas 1989. It in my opinion is a prettier truck than this red one.

  • toddly western voice u have lolol

  • these were cool and kinda fast for a young kid at the time.... i had the black one A-ARM BROKE

  • @matt78tv Oh ok, well I did quite abit of digging around on google, and I found out the red Bandit is a 49Mhz, and so is my Black Hammer, so now I just have to figure out what the Eliminator needs. I'll look into maybe getting a turbo hopper for a remote. Thanks for the advice.

  • I used to use a Paper Clip "Torsion Bar" front suspension when the Shock Tower broke on mine. You straighten part of the paperclip, put the loop part on the front wing, and run the straight part through the screw hole where the shocks went.

  • LOL, i had both the black and red one when i was a kid. I f-ing loved them. So super tough too. The only thing left after all the crashing and jumping was the wheels, frame and battery case. It looked like a black box on wheels. Then we set them on fire and they still ran for like 30 mins. It was hilariously awesome to say the least.

  • i always wanted this remote control truck when i was a kid but i end up getting the remote control outlaw for christmas of 93 =( lolllllll.
