In my eyes the CTS-V is a cheap alternative to the already established sport saloons out there. Admitedly what it lacks in prestige it makes up in performance but let us not forget that they set out to beat the m5 which is the only reason it does (shamefully so given that it brought a gun to a knife fight engine wise).

@freestyle115 It is funny! U.S. built steel has come aloooong way, though I gotta tell ya, I liked'em even when they were vanilla cruisers. But yeah. Asians and eurofolk alike get really pissed off when Cadillac takes 1st place legitimately!

I love that everyone is calm and content when a BMW or Mercedes wins one of these, but when someone else builds a clearly better car, every body freaks out. People have gathered such a bias against American cars, and they automatically write them off as worse than the German powerhouse cars, when lately that bias has no grounds.
