  • Seems a shame that there is always such a rush by people to display their ignorance of artforms they have little understanding or care for. While this might not be the greatest performance by any of these GREAT performers it should be understood that TRUE improvised music is a sometimes dicey proposition in the best of hands. Further this performance was in honor of Paul Rutherford who was unquestionably one of the greatest improvisers ever. I, for one, thank you for posting this. Brad Winter

  • yeah, wheeler played with loads of avant-garde musicians in his day - anthony braxton, graham collier, john stevens, tony oxley, alexander von schlippenbach...
