A true story. In 1939 two 19-year old Christians fall in love. He is a Pole . She is Austrian. The Nazis forbid relationships between Aryans and "slave classes" which included Poles, Czechs, Russians. & others Julian is sent to Flossenburg. Frieda is sent to Ravensbruck. Both are brutal concentration camps that few survive. Their remarkable story is chronicled in a book, "The Courtship of Julian & Frieda" by Krista Perry Dunn. Available at Amazon and on line stores. • To: IamThe (etc). Wow! Your comments are primitive but lively. While everyone's experience is different I'm afraid 'war is harsh' and 'zionist bs' doesn't quite cover it. There were a few million other people involved besides your grandmother and they, like Julian and Freida, speak for themselves. Have a nice day.

  • lol, my grandmother told me that only the males had to work, but not in concentration camps. she was there, and doesnt buy into Zionist bullshit. her brother was beaten, not by the Gestapo, but by an Austrian farmer. my grandmother appealed to the Gestapo officer, and he was removed from the farm and used as a servant.

however, she did smuggle food, which would have got her sent to the camps had she been caught.

fuck anyone who considers this harsh, it is war.

  • Thanks a lot for this.

  • Oh dear this is really touching - I read the book and felt as if I were there and knew Julian and Frida. This thrills me to see Julian talking. I could cry. I'm using the Colonel's computer but this is Mariana writing if that makes sense. Love you Krista - you are so talented. Salud

  • Krista!
