Airsoft mortar

My friend is trying the "beta" version of our imitation mortar. It does not fire anything, it just imitates the soudn and smoke (pyrotechnic is used)

This is a very old video, we used this "mortar" only for scenario games.

Its just a metal tube and he throws a powerful firecracker in it.

We have experimented with some grenades with bb-s that would explode in the air or on impact but it was too dangerous for airsoft games.

Maybe i will make another one in the future but i dont promise anything :)

sorry but no, idon't have the materials right now, but contact the youtube user iwonthegameWON because he has the blueprints and stuff now, i uploaded itbut i had to clear up my PC so i lost the link and the originals. He has been my middleman for this project and is distribuiting the plans to alot of users and it apparently works, contact me or him if you have questions.

yeah. the morters that are used in iraq by the insurgents, when they go off they make your ears bleeeeedd , not really but there LOUD! and dirt flies off the ground because of the vibration

If your interested in a prototype "explode on impact" ammo for mortars contact me on youtube. (its only a project but with the right development i think it can actually make a great ammo).

PS: no pyro and it should work with BB's or some kind of powder (like those retail airsoft mines).

Sorry kids; firecrackers do not a mortar bang make.

My job was mortars in the US Army and what you've seen in the movies is not nearly as loud as an actual mortar. Yours is very, very pale in comparison.

Nice mortar lol..... My firend and me used an old pipe were we used old apples as rounds and firecrackers as explosives. Awesome thing. We even made to hit the house from his neighbor, and that sure was a long distance

Its not so pointless as it seems here on this video.
