This will be the last of the vids for a while. Winter is close by and I can't work in the snow. I'll finish up with putting this contraption together temporarily and start up next spring. I'll show the process of attaching the srtinger assembly to the hull in my next video next year. Thanks for tagging along on this expencive but fun trip. We Ride In 2010!

  • wait a minute wasnt it 7 degrees? , doesn't the "glass epoxy need like a degree of 30 degrees , now the water stays in the layers = osmose

  • @AweSomo84 Any of the epoxy work I've done has been in the 70s to 80s. Well within the 7-30Celcius range.

  • when we gonna see more stuff done

  • @ashley118118

As soon as I get my kitchen done. Looks like mid July or so. Thanks

  • Thank you for watching. Good luck on your repair. Send me a note on your progress and post some videos.

  • nice job!!! I'm doing a restoration project myself atm , bought a boat with a friend , a dory dell quay 17

I hope you can start rebuilding again really soon so i can check it before i start :D

i'm kinda thinking of replacing the wood from the transom part with alluminium do u think it would be a wise thing to do ?

    greetz

  • I don't know about the aluminium..I think the expantion/contraction rate might be different than the epoxy/glass and the bond between the two during stress might pop. You could always back up the finished transom with an alum strip to displace the pull on the bolts. Good luck and show me how yours is going when you get to it.
