  • @mtdburnett the dialect is typical Salzkammergut dialect. It is very hard to translate the lyrics into english because they are partly old fashioned and sung since more than 30 years originally. German version is no problem, i have maybe 300 of them in my textbooks

  • @mtdburnett Something to add.... The name of the song "Aberseer Landler" belongs to the lake "Wolfgangsee", it was first named "Abersee"!!

  • @mtdburnett Yes I know... At first this is a very special kind of austrian german... there´s a lake named Wolfgangsee and around there, the people are singing and talking in this dialect

The second thing, the lyrics: This song (Landler) has about 1500 verses or more, named "G´stanzln" ... I knew about 200 of them.

    Greetings from St. Gilgen

  • très belle famille un vrais plaisir

  • I also believe paschen is in other regions. I know paschen from Altausee, Bad Aussee, Grundlsee, Bad ischl, and so further. I don't want to give you the wrong information.

  • @mtdburnett The clapping (Paschen) is special to this region, Abersee. Paschen bedeutet rhythmisch in die Hände klatschen. You hear Austrian dialekt-expressions which will differ, sometimes, from village to village. You may look up the name of the song which is Aberseer Landler. My motherinlaw comes from this region. Here are some lyrics if you want to get the idea of the dialekt. dancilla(dot)com/wiki/index.php/Aberseer_Schleuniger

  • Does anybody know what dialect they are singing. Are the lyrics for this available somewhere?

  • I LOVE THIS VIDEO!

  • Na, hast du gestern auch hr geguckt und den Ausschnitt gleich hochgeladen ? Es gibt noch eine bessere, sogar getanzte Version, ausgerechnet aus dem Musikantenstadl 1995: "Familie Laimer-Medley" von User 21inheart, ab 1.21. Leider mit elektro-Verstärkung, das mögen die Fans "echter Volksmusik" gar nicht gern, schon gar nicht bei Musiktiteln des 17./18.Jahrhunderts...
