YANGON (RANGOON)
Yangon, the largest city, is the main gateway to Myanmar. Evergreen and cool with lush tropical trees, shady parks and beautiful lakes.
The main attractions of Yangon are the world famous Shwedagon Pagoda, believed to have been built more than 2500 year ago and colonial style buildings.
MRAUK U (MYO HAUNG)
Mrauk-U is the ancient capital of the Rakhine(Arakan) kingdom which flourished from 15th to 18th century and can be reached by boat along Kaladan River from Sittwe(Akyrab). in total of 48 kings ruled Mrauk-U and the seat of administration for Rakhine region was transferred to Sittwe in 1827 by the British.
Mrauk-U is noted for its fort-like temples and pagodas of stone and brick. Moreover, you can see the tattoo face ladies at your extension visit to the Chin Villages along the Laymyo creek.
INLE LAKE
The most attractive site of Shan State is Inle Lake. This picturesque Lake is surrounded by hazy blue mountains and situated 900 meters above sea-level.
The lake is 22 km long and 10 km wide with floating islands, floating villages.
The most famous and unique feature of the lake are colorful floating market and leg-rowers.
