@BonScottAC Well, if given a choice, I'd do the same, if I am not allowed to upgrade the ship. :P No wonder Khan took the 'Reliant' he knew he couldn't win a fight with Kirk. lol

If I were given a command of a Miranda class starship i would resign from starfleet. Seriously in every battle 10 of those suckers explode in every scene

I read the comments and noticed a LOT of people asking why so many larger ships are being destroyed easily whereas the Defiant (class) ship is surviving the attacks.
The Defiant was built from the ground up as a heavily armed warship that was meant to go toe-to-toe with a BORG cube and thus, is far sturdier than most of the other ships which are very notable *not* Warships.
