Amtrak's Sunset Limited, Richmond Crossing 5/21/07

Ignore the commentary on it being train #2 - this is train /#1/ on its way to Los Angeles. Also, the lighting wasn't as great as I hoped it would be at Richmond, but I had little choice because it was the closest crossing to the engagement I was at beforehand. The consist is the short 6-car consist with P42s 43 and 168 on the lead (as noted in the commentary).

Addendum (updated 9/25/08): As I haven't had a chance to come back and revise this, there once was a message here that said I could email you the original video. Unfortunately at the time that this was written, I did not forsee my laptop crashing and taking with it most of the raw footage. Unfortunately, this means that in some cases it comes down to using Real Player to download the video if you'd like to have it for your own personal enjoyment on your laptop, or else I can return to certain locations in order to shoot a similar shot. Either one works for me, as long as I don't see a facsimile uploaded on any other account (which is why most of us have disabled embedding). Drop me a line if you're interested.
